General FAQs

Is your clinic regulated?

Yes. We are legally required to Register with the Healthcare Commission who gave us the authority to Consult, Assess, Treat and Provide Post Operative care for Cosmetic procedures. We are also Registered to perform minor surgical procedures to improve patient’s quality of life including treatment for Snoring and Varicose veins. Our Clinics are inspected by the Commission each year, and they determine whether our clinic abides by the high standards set down by the Government. This procedure ensures that patients receive proper treatment and after care. Healthcare Commission is part of NHS.

Who performs the treatment?

All our cosmetic surgery treatments are performed by qualified and trained medical practitioners who are Registered with General Medical Council, live in UK and worked within the NHS. Our surgeons on the specialist Register, have demonstrated their area of expertise for example ENT Consultant for Snoring procedure and Vascular surgeon for treatment of Various Veins, Cosmetic Surgeons in the case of Breast Surgery. All our laser practitioners are either qualified Dermatologists, Cosmetic Surgeons. Our people's qualifications and training certificates are displayed at the clinic.

All information will be kept confidential. After careful examination you will be given a full explanation of the treatment you require along with realistic expectations on the likely outcome following treatment. All patients are provided with written information about their treatment and the cost of such treatment. You are encouraged to ask questions. Depending on the treatment you are interested in you maybe shown a short video. Should you decide to undertake the treatment an appointment will be made for you at a mutually convenient date and time.

(ii) book online on this website by completing the 'information slots stating your preferred date and time and clinic location.

Our reception will explain that a small consultation fee will be payable to secure your appointment with a clinician. This fee is deductable from the price of any treatment or product. Deposits are normally paid by credit or debit cards at time of booking.

How much will my treatment cost?

The cost of a cosmetic surgery procedure is made up of four different fees:

• The surgical fee covers your surgery and all postoperative follow-up appointments. It also covers dressings used in the practice and, if a garment is required, the cost of one garment. You are responsible for the cost of extra garments. As you can imagine, the fee will vary based on the complexity of the procedure you choose.

• The anaesthetist fee, if general anaesthetic is required, covers the cost of your consultation with the anaesthetist on the day of your surgery and the anaesthetist's services during your procedure.

• The hospital fee, if required, covers all your care for the amount of time in hospital scheduled and includes dressings. Depending on the hospital you choose, you may also be charged for your take-home medication. Each hospital sets its own fees and one hospital may be more expensive than another.

• The implant fee, if required, covers the cost of any implants used in your surgery.
Please keep in mind that combined procedures (for example a face lift and neck lift together) will be less costly than having the procedures separately, as there will be only one hospital stay and one anaesthetic.

Can I bring a friend or relative?

Yes. Providing we have your permission they can also attend the consultation. We do not believe children should attend consultations.

Who do I see at the consultation?

You will be introduced to a Qualified and experienced Medical Practitioner or Nurse . We do not employ sales consultants/patient coordinators.

Do I have to make a decision at the consultation?

No. You are under no obligation to make a decision on the day nor do we encourage you to do so. None of our staff are remunerated on commission basis nor do we employ sales persons.

Can I cancel treatment at anytime?

Yes. We generally do not take advance payments other than deposits to secure operating slots. Clients pay remainder of treatment cost 48 hours before day of procedure.

What After care do you provide?

For treatments involving surgery or laser resurfacing we provide written post treatment instructions and arrange for on call service. Follow up appoints are made at your local clinic for routine removal of stitches and reviews shortly after treatment. Telephone calls are made at regular interval to monitor your progress. Routine 4 monthly follows are also encouraged.

What are your hours of opening?

The clinic hours at Manchester are generally 10 to 6 pm Monday to Friday and 10 to 5 pm on Saturdays. We do have late evenings opening on Tuesday and Thursday, normally up to 7 pm. The Leeds clinic has telephone service as Manchester clinic and is available for consultations and treatments on a strict appointment basis.
